Whip Set

This is an old Woolworth's sign that would have been attached to a bin that held a ton of Zorro Whip Sets.
Whip Set is like Dip Set.  Cam'Ron was good in Paid in Full.  On Juelz Santana's "Oh Yes" they sample
the song "Please Mr. Postman" but it's not the original Marvelettes' version that they sample, it's the
70's version by Karen Carpenter.  So it's really a collaboration between Dip Set and the Carpenters.
There is a version of Zorro that stars Alain Delon, the famous French heart-throb from the 60's.
Zorro was always in the same pot as the Lone Ranger and Tonto, but I don't think they were buds.
Here is the link to a video of the Carpenter's version of Please Mr. Postman.  They're in Disneyland:

  1. I like the Marvelettes' version better.
The first single released from their Pink LP,
"The hunter gets captured by the game" written by smokey is amazing!
Listen to it, then listen to it again.
