Jan & Dean's "Dead Man's Curve" was a song about a road in LA. Two years after the song became a hit, Jan got into a terrible car accident on that road, became partially paralyzed, and was told he would never walk again. While he recovered, his partner Dean recorded the album Save For a Rainy Day, a concept record of songs fit for those inbetween times in people's lives. Jan didn't approve of the record, but he did walk again.
