New York City Kids Rhymes

This first one, "Sardines," is probably best known as the song "Sardines" by The Junkyard Band - the 80's Def Jam go-go group out of DC comprised of kids between 8 and 13, who played "improvised instruments", like that old classic: the bucket.

Bamalama Cummala is just killer.  Wait for the Ode To Pizza.

I know you know about one of the best drop-outs in hip-hop history.  When I say drop-out, I'm talking about when they drop the beat out, then inevitably bring it back, and everyone gets psyched.  I'm talking about Black Sheep's "The Choice Is Yours (Revisited)" - when Drez does the Engine Engine part.

  1. ''Oh no no no no- no... soda. soda. soda. soda. soda. soda. soda. soda." More life changing lyrics.

  2. People all wrapped in farty song writers like Bob Dylan & Paul Simon. They need to put that down and get with the "Rhythm of the Hot Dog"
