The Naughty Little Guest

This is one of my all time favorites.  Some like Salinger.  Others, Rowling.  For me it's a toss-up between this and The Shining by Stephen King. On a rainy afternoon, this usually wins because, well -- it's a lot smaller and shorter and it has hilarious pictures of goat-people in it. This timeless classic was written by Dorothy Kunhardt in 1949. I was gonna photoshop my name on the cover and tell you all it was one of my big hits, but since I'm sharing the whole book with you guys, my wife was like, "Isn't that called plagiarism?" Well, I wish I'd wrote it. The drawings were done by some dude named Garth Williams.  Garth, like from Wayne's World.

She's trouble, you can tell.

I don't see Estelle.

Yeah, right.

Somebody's craaazzzzyyyy...

This Mom is pretty weird too.

That means that Margaret did that to herself, right?  What a psycho.

Whoever did that drawing is an ARTISTIC GENIUS!  I LOVE IT!

You think Estelle's mom is invisible too?  Maybe the invisibility is only on her Dad's side.

Now I'm gonna miss her.  That Estelle was the coolest.
