The New Frankie's Apt. Video is 30 seconds long!

Frankie's Apartment bumpers, shorts, and quick videos are called "QUIDEOS".
Oh, look - here's one now.

A Great Song About Candy Bars

"I Won't Let You Lick My Candy Bar" was written by Nellie Bond and performed by Susan Kay - a young girl that Bond and her collaborators heard singing on a radio show.

Yesterday's Taping: Neck At Night - DEMO

So it looks like Frankie's Apartment sort of might have a talk show portion, a program-within-a-program called Neck at Night. According to some post-it from nearly a year ago, when Frankie goes to sleep, he dreams about hosting a late night talk show - a show that is on SO LATE - you have to be asleep to be able to watch it - as in - dreaming.

Now just for the record, we at Have-A-Heart Productions are never ones to look at an idea and say, "Does this make sense?  Is this even any good?"  No.  We just plough ahead and see if there might me something funny in there.  Here are some screen grabs from yesterday's taping.

Frankie, in Giraffe NECK, with Luca Guidolini on the set of NECK AT NIGHT
The top of that giraffe neck is attached to Mr. Hawthorne,
who likes to throw in his own opinions from time to time
Luca, who some might call droll, talked about his love life, the death of skateboarding,
and how much money was in his pockets
Since we're showing scene grabs - here's a close up of me

Toys Watch TV in Frankie's Apartment

There might not be anything ON the set, but...

There's definitely something IN the set...

It's one of those souvenirs where you can look through the back and see a few different pictures by clicking the button on the bottom. I put my point-and-shoot right up to the hole and was able to get some decent photos of what's inside. Some show they're watching...

Dog and her man out for a drink
Fabulous Barker Boys
The sexiest poodle on the planet
Fellini

Unique Pinback

Before there was American Apparel or Urban Outfitters or Hot Topic, there was Unique - a stand alone giant factory-style warehouse boutique on Broadway where the NYU bookstore is now. To the left, Unique had a huge air-brushing service - specializing in denim jackets, t-shirts and basball cap brims. They sold puffy paint in giant tubes, manic panic, and always had bins of close-out surplus gear.
