Superior Market becomes Omar Deli Grocery

In New York, Superior Markets are a classic kind of bodega/deli.  I'm not sure if this was a chain that later got sold off to individual owners who just kept the sign, but there used to be one of these in every other neighborhood.

Omar Deli Grocery in Hollis, Queens has a fairly new, mostly homemade sign, designed on top of, or inspired by, the original Superior Market flavor. Why is this interesting? It probably isn't to most of you, but I remember trying to count how many Superiors I knew about with my Dad when I was a boy.
